Care Instructions
For Plushies and Accessories, such as Bags and Keychains:
To clean plushies, spot clean with a mix of water and detergent only. For other accessories such as keychains or bags, spot cleaning is preferred, but if you need a deeper clean please refer to the instructions for cleaning sweaters and cardigans below.
For Wool Cardigans and Sweaters:
Fill your sink/tub with lukewarm water, and add a gentle soap until it foams. Soak your piece in the water for 15-20 minutes. Drain and press any water out, then soak again to rinse. You may repeat to rinse again. Press as much excess water out from the piece as you can, and then roll it into a towel. Press down to squeeze any excess water out. Unroll the towel and lay your piece flat in a place with good ventilation in the shape you'd like it to dry in. . \\ Let it air dry for 1-3 days. You can help it dry faster with a fan or a hairdryer on a cool setting. For a complete tutorial on washing your knits, please watch this video.
For Chenille Finger Knit Cardigans:
Place your sweater or cardigan in a pillowcase and tie it closed with a knot. Wash cold with like colors, using the gentle cycle on your washing machine. Lay flat to dry in a place with good ventilation, and reshape as needed.
You may also handwash with a mixture of cold water and detergent, but this method is not preffered as it is difficult to get all of the detergent out and air dry quickly.
Things to avoid:
-
High heat situations, such as steam blocking, ironing, or dry cleaning
-
Although it won't hurt if you put your accessory or garment in the dryer to tumble dry on low heat once or twice, repeated drying in such a manner will cause the yarn to lose its softness. The sweaters and cardigans in particular have been made with synthetic fibers, thus it will not be possible to block with water and like with a crochet or knit pieces made from cottons or wools. With wear, time, and a few washings, however, the synthetic fibers will weft together to hold their shape: a sort of artificial blocking, if you will!

-
Hanging sweaters or cardigans
-
Hanging a sweater or cardigan on a clothes hanger, wet or dry, will cause the garment to stretch out lengthwise and at the shoulders. Feel free to do this if you want it a little longer, but just keep in mind that it is very difficult to get the sweater or cardigan back to the original length!

Harsh soaps or detergents, such as bleach. The dye of the yarn may not hold.
